Take Chances on New Experiences
I have seen so many people’s hearts open and bodies heal when they gather in community. When members of a group are seen, heard and embraced for all that they are, miracles happen on an individual and collective level. I have experienced people come into meditation or breathwork events who are emotionally downtrodden, energetically drained, or physically stressed and leave completely centered, refueled, and painfree. The techniques and methods I teach at my events are important and integral but what makes the biggest difference is the people. The power of community and friendship is real.
Depending on your personality and background, it may be harder to meet people and make friends as you get older. The friends you had in high school and college may not have the same interests and lifestyle as you anymore. So, you begin to feel separate and alone. You notice that you are in this rut of work, home, eat, sleep, repeat and it feels monotonous and unfulfilling. Those feelings are telling you that it is time to expand and open up to new experiences and new people. It is just a matter of finding the right ones.
It may no longer work for you to go out to the bar and meet people that way. You may get more excited by the thought of exploring different classes and events such as meditation, breathwork, chanting, sound healing, yoga, or music. Follow those nudges of excitement. That is your heart leading the way.
Taking chances on new experiences will help you meet the most amazing people that can become life-long friends. Everyone is looking for the same thing–to belong. Belonging means you finally feel understood, embraced and accepted by the people in your life.
If you would like to have nourishing experiences with the promise of meeting awesome people, I invite you to check out one of my events.
